F/64 Group - Igomen Cunningham

The Photographer the inspired me to take these photos was Imogen Cunningham. During Cunninghams career she began to take interest in botanical photography, which i tried to imitate. although she was known for her botanical photographs she still had photos with humans as her subject. i love the way she can show the beauty in the flowers that she photographs.

One Photo Composition Rule

My favorite Composition Rule was Leading Lines. Many viewers may get lost on where to find the subject of your photo. By creating a path at the beginning and leading it to the direction, the viewer is able to see where the subject of your photo is located.

First Portrait Assignment

I believe that for my first attempt, I did well at getting people to forget the camera. I must give credit to the people around me because they distracted them to look away and many photos were shot before the person could realize they were being photographed. My favorite picture would be the third photo because I caught her when she was distracted but it came out very beautiful. I believe I can improve by trying to remove my shadow for the photograph.

Composition Rules and Guidelines.

BEFORE

AFTER

The objects on this picture are arranged to make the picture look like everything is in the right place. I notice that the photographer used principles of design; putting emphasis on the main object . There are also patterns and proportions on the picture because of all the shapes and angles. To make this picture better, I cropped the guy on the left out to put even more emphasis on the main object. I also straightened the picture so that it wouldn't look so crooked.

In this article I liked Rule 5 where it says leading lines .it helps because it helps you see where the focal point is by using other objects in the photograph.

My favorite in this article is the leaving space rule. This show that even though you take a close up you must always leave space for the background.

This article explained how depth of field is important when taking a picture. It helps show more emphasis on the main object because it helps it stand out.

I like the lean into the frame rule in this article. it allows you to see where the subject of your photo is leading to.

Photography - The Rules of Composition

I like how this article shows simplicity as an important rule of composition. The simplicity of this picture makes it look very real and not planned.

First Photo Outing - Principles of Design

This is my favorite picture that we took on our first outing. It meets my principles of design called pattern and proportion. It is pattern because it has the repetition of the small circles . This is also proportion because all the circles are in the shape of a square.

Here is the link to the site of elements of design.
